Bihar’s Chief Minister Jeethan Ram Manjhi is known for his short temper and is always in news for his controversial statements. This firebrand CM has now shown his fury on the state’s doctors. Reportedly, the CM has warned the doctors of dire consequences if they do not offer quality treatment and neglect the lives of the commoners and even threatened the docs saying that he will cut off their hands if found negligent. Getting into the details, many devotees have lost their lives in the recent stampede in the Ravan Dahan during the Dussehra festival in Bihar’s capital Patna. When the critically injured were taken to a public hospital, no doctors or even basic medicine were available for the treatment. The CM got furious when he tried to contact the hospital’s superintendent and was informed of his unavailability on his duty. Even though his comments were out of angst, the Bihar’s political circles are strongly criticising the CM’s comments, which has become yet another headache for the JDU. In the past, the CM received flack for openly stating that drinking in public places is not a crime.
